Viola Elaine (Casner) Williams, age 88, died on Wednesday September 26, 2018 in Lewiston, Idaho, surrounded by her loving children. She was born on August 17, 1930 in Sweet, Idaho as an only child to James and Iva Casner. She lived and went to school in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, growing up on a small ranch, raising turkeys, along the Payette River. Her father was a miner, so the family moved to Yellow Pine and then to Stibnite. Here she met her husband Jack T. Williams. After marriage they moved to Cascade, Idaho then on to Boise, Idaho, where Jack drove long haul truck and Vi worked at the local bank. Jack and Vi had two children, Ginger and Doug. Vi enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, painting and gardening. She was an active Christian and member of her church community.
Vi is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Vi is survived by her two children, Doug Williams, Ginger Jungwirth, her grandchildren, Shayne Williams (Jackie), Shandi Workman (Jeff), Brenda Jungwirth, Michael Jungwirth and her six great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. At her request no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home of Grangeville.
