Sharon Hardy, 70
Sharon Hardy, 70, of Riggins, Idaho, passed away at her home Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012. She was born July 11, 1942, in Montrose, Colo., to Cecil and Alta Ormsby. She was one of four children. Sharon moved to Riggins in October of 1966 and stayed where she was the most happy to raise a total of 12 children.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, a sister, a son and a granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Buzz Hardy; 11 children; 41 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
Sharon loved living in Riggins where she could be outdoors, where she loved to hunt and fish (but only if she was catching). She also loved gardening and the canning that came with it. She always said there was no better sound than the pop of the jars sealing. She loved her family and friends most of all but she also loved to cook and serve and never let anyone leave her table hungry.
Her large combined family will miss her dearly and she will never be forgotten. The legacy she leaves behind will live on forever.
A celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. on Oct. 20, at Randy and Ronda Spickelmire’s home in Riggins. Be prepared to tell your best Sharon story.
