GRANGEVILLE: Robert L. Walsingham, 73 of Grangeville passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at Syringa General Hospital in Grangeville.
Robert was born September 14, 1937 at Ellsinore, California. He attended school in California. Following his education he worked for the Forest Service and then later logged. He moved to Oregon and he and Kay Walker were married in 1968 and they moved to Grangeville in 1979. He worked for the Forest Service and retired after 25 years of employment. Kay passed away in 2005.
Robert loved to hunt and fish and was a talented gunsmith, artist, made knives from scratch and was a wonderful carver of wood and antlers. He was also an avid follower of American History.
He is survived by his sons, Mark and Nathan Walsingham both of Grangeville, his daughter Sara Walsingham of Corpus Christi, TX, two step sons, Mike Walker of Prairie City, Oregon and Chuck Walker of Yakima, WA. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
