PORTLAND, OR. OWEN E. ANDREWS, age 48, a resident of Grangeville died December 1, 2004 at the V.A. Hospital in Portland from liver failure.
He was born the fifth of nine children to Agnes M. Schmadeka Sinclair. His father was Leslie Wallace Andrews.
Owen was born July 16, 1956 at Grangeville. He served in the Army from 1976 to 1981. He was honorably discharged. He went to school in Grangeville, Idaho and Seabeck, Washington.
He loved camping, hunting, fishing, going 4-wheeling and any other activities that were outdoors. He was a very loving person, who loved spending time with his family. He loved kids, and even thou he never had any of his own, he helped raise other people’s children.
He is survived by his mother Agnes Sinclair, his brothers, Wayne Andrews and Joe Burkenbine, also his sisters, Jean Jenson, Opal Godwin, Linda Wood, Wanda Goff, and Tracy Glover.
He was preceded in death by his father, both sets of grandparents, and his brother, Melbourne Wedding.
He will be greatly missed by all the people he loved and befriended.
A graveside inurnment service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Prairie View Cemetery in Grangeville with Rev. Gary Thesan of the Evergreen Assembly of God Church officiating. A dinner will follow services at 11:00 a.m. at the I.O.O.F. hall. Services under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville.
