GRANGEVILLE: Lowell Dale Egbert, 52 of Las Vegas died Thursday, December 16 at Cottonwood, Idaho from injuries received in a auto accident near Cottonwood.
Lowell Dale Egbert was born in Cascade, Idaho on July 11, 1952 to Arthur and Bonnie Egbert.
Dale spent most of his growing up years in Grangeville, Idaho where he attended all 12 years of school. He attended the College of Idaho for one year.
Dale spent his work life worked as a finish carpenter and was currently working in Las Vegas. He specialized in making things beautiful.
Of all of the places Dale lived, he loved Mount Idaho the most. As a child he spent hours playing with siblings and friends, exploring and trying to keep up with two older brothers who took great joy in teasing their baby brother.
Dale traveled to Europe after he graduated from high school. This trip was a wonderful adventure for him.
Dale married Bridget Giles and they have one son, Lowell Egbert. He then married Beverly Robinson and they have a son Arthur Egbert.
Dale loved his children. More than anything he wanted to maintain a good relationship with them. He was a devoted and loving son who helped his parents on their place on many occasions. As a sibling, Dale was loved from birth – and teased a lot too. He got even with all of his siblings by getting his nieces and nephews ‘out of control’ whenever he was around. They loved their ‘Uncle Dale’ a lot. Dale was a genuinely nice person who was fun to be around, always loved a new adventure, and we will always cherish the time we had together.
The day before Dale died he mentioned that when his time came that he wanted to be buried in Mount Idaho. Those wishes will be honored. We know he will rest in peace in a place that he loved so much.
Dale is survived by his two sons Lowell Egbert of Spokane, WA., and Arthur Egbert of Las Vegas, NV; two grandsons Cashawn and Ajani Egbert of Spokane, WA., his parents, Arthur and Bonnie Egbert of Grangeville, Idaho; two brothers, Bruce Egbert (Bertha) of Walla Walla, WA., and Tim Egbert (Anne) of Rathdrum, ID; two sisters Nina Madry (Dick) of Boise, ID and Bonnie McCurdy of Las Vegas, NV., 12 nieces and nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews, and many more relatives and friends.
