June A. Brotnov – Hooper –Dewey, 88 of Grangeville passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

 Born June 3,1923 to Albert Bernard Brotnov and Mamie Elizabeth Brotnov, at Clearwater, Idaho and attended school at Clearwater and Kooskia . She attended Business College in Spokane Washington. In 1943 she was married to Dallas Hooper, Latter ending in Divorce. She was employed in Grangeville Idaho, at the Idaho County A.S.C up until retirement. On May 29, 1949 she married to Roland Dewey. They lived in Clearwater for many years on the family ranch, up until the time they moved to Grangeville in the late sixty’s.  Roland and June loved to travel, and they spent many summers outdoors, camping and fishing with the family. She was also very active in many churches around the area. She was the Pianist and the Secretary for Alacca Bible Camp in Harpster, Idaho. She provided Leadership in the Lord’s work for many years in and out of the churches.  She was always in the Kitchen cooking for her family and provided an open door, allowing her to fill the belly’s of her kids, her grandkids, and all the children that flowed in and out of the house.  June mothered three wonderful Children. The Oldest Son Bernie Hooper was born to her and Dallas Hooper.  Second oldest Daughter Sherrie Dewey was adopted, and the youngest daughter Teresa Dreadfulwater, was adopted and brought into the family to complete their home.  June was proceeded in death by her Husband Roland Dewey, Brothers Norman and Arland Brotnov, Father, Albert Brotnov and Mother Mamie Skidmore, and Nephew Glen Brotnov. She leaves behind a legacy in her family she is survived by her Son Bernie, Daughters Sherrie and Teresa, Grandchildren Chris , Ronnie Hooper, Crystal , Matthew , Jessica Dewey, Jason Dreadfulwater, Tiffany Brown, Nichole , Heather, and  David Legget, and eleven Great-grandkids.

 Services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville.  Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday, October 7, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home.  Send condolences to the family to:
