Douglas Lee Brannan, 58, of Grangeville, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Grangeville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Doug was born March 20, 1952 at Cottonwood, Idaho, a son of Harold and Vera Johnston Brannan. He grew up in Mohler and attended school in Nezperce. He graduated from Nezperce High School in 1970 and then attended Lewiston Normal School. He returned to Nezperce and farmed with his family.
He married Pam Forsmann in 1974 and they later divorced. He moved to Grangeville in 1978 and farmed until 1996 when ill health forced him to retire.
He was a member of the Grangeville Elks Lodge. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, camping, and living the ranching life.
He is survived by his sons, Lee and Sherry Brannan of Grangeville, Jason and Stephanie Brannan of Lewiston, and Justin Brannan of Grangeville; and brother, Bob Brannan of Mohler. He is also survived by his companion of many years, Nancy Thompson of Grangeville, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at Nezperce Community Cemetery with Pastor Harold Gott officiating.
Services are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home in Grangeville.
