Dorothy Pearl Earp born October 23, 1923 passed away peacefully on February 4, 2019 with her family at her side. Dorothy was born in Tappan, North Dakota and moved to Grangeville, Idaho at a very young age. Dorothy’s first job was modeling for Shira’s photography. She married Kenneth Earp at the age of 22, and together they raised two loving daughters, Sharon Louise Wisenor and Christine Rae Earp as well as her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dorothy’s love of life and family were the center for building a life and homestead in Mt. Idaho, Idaho. Dorothy loved quilting, gardening and cooking. She spent many years travelling with Ken to Horseman events, making friends in all places. She loved to spend time with her family. One of her favorite places to be was on the Oregon coast with her family. She was known for her sweet temperament by all who met her.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Earp, her Mother Ruth Ann Broxmeyer, her 2 sisters, Isabelle Ziegler and Bertha Heath, and her brother Buddy Tranmer. She is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her daughters, Sharon and Chris. Services were held at Blackmer Funeral Home and Dorothy was laid to rest in Mt. Idaho Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Cancer Center at www.stjude.org.
