Curtis L. Kammeyer, 60

GRANGEVILLE: On September 25, 2018 Curtis L Kammeyer (Curt) walked into the loving arms of Jesus.

He was born to Chris and Bonnie Kammeyer on February 13, 1958 in Moscow, Idaho. He was raised in Palouse, Washington where he graduated high school, and learned the skills of farming the rolling hills. He joined the United States Army  and proudly served 12 years during the Iraq War, Desert Storm.

He has a son from a previous marriage, Christopher (Nicole) Kammeyer and 2 beautiful grandchildren; Corbin and Hadley of whom he was very proud.

On September 16, 2000 he married Marcella L. Peterson and they made their home in Grangeville, Idaho.

Curt worked as a diesel mechanic and welder. He loved the outdoors which included hunting, camping and fishing.

Curt is survived by his loving wife Marcella of Grangeville, ID. His dad Chris Kammeyer, Sister Nicki, husband Chuck Arrasmith of Clarkston, WA. A son Christopher Kammeyer and wife Nichole, grandson Corbin and granddaughter Hadley of Cottage Grove, Oregon. Brothers in law; Dale Peterson, Doug Peterson. Sisters in law; Yvonne Peterson (Mike Conklin) all of Grangeville. Vickie (Jack) Armstrong of Kooskia, ID and many nieces and nephews. He will greatly be missed by all.

Curt was preceded in death by his dearly loved mother, Bonnie Kammeyer and brother Chris Kammeyer. Mother and father in law John and Lillian Groom.

Curt had a great love for his brothers of the military. Friends and family are invited to join us for Curt’s Celebration of Life at the Grangeville Veteran’s Center on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Covered dishes are welcomed. Arrangement are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home of Grangeville.
